Problem

Recover the corporate storefront from a failed prior-vendor relationship.

A prior vendor engagement didn't deliver. Codebase, design language, and relationship continuity all had to be cleaned out without losing the live storefront. The rebuild had to happen on a baseline we fully control — no carry-forward of prior code, design, or conventions.

Approach

Single canonical source. Brand-baseline lock. No third-party app sprawl.

Built on theme v2.1.31 baseline as the post-rebuild line. Single canonical source folder (NOT per-version like Ag's older convention) — build script wraps to versioned zip on demand. Palette B brand baseline locked at family level (slate + gold + Fraunces + Inter). Cart = Shopify-native only; no Bold cart drawer, no third-party checkout. Brand-wide minimum-integrations rule — every additional app needs an RFC.

Outcome

Live, controllable, recovery-ready as a model for client engagements.

vastura.ca is live on the post-rebuild baseline. The build pipeline, settings schema validation gate, and minimum-integrations discipline are now reusable family conventions. The recovery itself is a credential — clients in similar prior-vendor situations get a recovery playbook based on what we did here.
